Emily Tracy has created socially engaged projects which invite collaboration over many years. She runs Make Club, a project which teaches creative process to adults and young people.
Emily makes collage which reflect on our relationship to nature using found image.
Over the years she has invited audiences to collect and sort clutter, help reunite lost property, and ask the question ‘What do we hold dear?’ Recent projects have included residencies at The Portland Bird Observatory and in an archive of dialect.
For the open studios I will be showing recent collage using images gleaned from The National Geographic, and small scale collage using administrative paraphernalia such as record sleeves, index cards and old envelopes.
