I have a regular weekly painting session with a friend and we mainly paint from photos that we have taken.
These are a combination of photos taken either whilst on holiday or just something I liked or have seen when I am generally out and about.
These can be anything from still life’s to land or seascapes.
I particularly like the Mediterranean light so a lot of my paintings are from photos taken in Greece or Spain.
I work mainly in oil painting but I do also paint in watercolours as well.
When I go on holiday I always take my watercolour set with me and try to paint at least one picture a day, either as a completed picture or as a sketch for working up a later painting.
I have worked in other mediums before including Ceramics, collage, pastels, photography and printing, all of which I still do.
