I’m a designer-maker and educator with a 30-year practice spanning photographic design, textiles, colour and material exploration. My work has taken me from commissions for Tate, V&A, Habitat and John Lewis to a practice now focusing on making by hand — weaving and painting with natural and existing materials to create one-off pieces and artworks. I continue to work with textiles for interiors, creating made-to-order curtains, blinds and other pieces that bring colour, pattern and materiality into the home. I love the imperfections a material carries: the histories held in something reclaimed rather than new. My practice has evolved from designing for the home to making more individual, tactile pieces that celebrate materials, craft and the joy of making. My work has been exhibited, sold and collected internationally. Alongside new work, I’ll also be bringing out archive coasters, mats and trays along side textiles and rugs from past collections.
