I am an artist and an architect. My art work is mostly collage and painting, and I also use sketching to develop ideas. The work is abstract, usually starting with an initial collage to explore colour and shape, which then progresses to a larger collage or painting. Often, the work picks up other ideas as it unfolds, leading to a finished piece that may be some way from the original idea. The works are intended to have an ambiguity about them, and be open to interpretation by the viewer. The process allows freedom, experimentation and layering of ideas.
