After my degree in Dance and Visual Arts in the early nineties I poured all my ambition and creative energy into dance. A few years ago I rekindled my creative interest in art again by attending various courses. It is an an ongoing journey of discovery! Inspired by my background in movement I am curious to see how the movement of my arm and hand inform the mark making on the paper and canvas. I like the contrast of being accurate and then take a risk of going wild with my hand. I like to be surprised by the outcome. I am particularly interested in life drawing and observing the human figure, but I also pursue drawing nature in my local parks and still life.
